This list sheds light on celebrities who faced turbulent times in their marriages whether they were cohabiting or legally married.
1. Yvonne Okwara and Andrew Matole Konde
Controversy gripped them even before they officially became man and wife. Word had it that Yvonne and Andrew were forced to change their wedding venue three times for fear that Andrew’s former sweethearts would interrupt the wedding.
According to Robert Alai, Andrew Matole was married to Alice Manyola Matole whom he sired three children with before he walked down the aisle with the KTN anchor.
Andrew allegedly had another kid with one Maryanne Muthoni Waruingi. These claims fueled speculations that Yvonne was married to someone’s husband.
2. Lillian Muli and Moses Njuguna Kanene
The Citizen TV anchor walked down the aisle with Moses Njuguna in 2009 thereafter changing her name to Lillian Kanene.
But the moment she dropped ‘Kanene’ gossip thirsty Kenyans started digging to find out what really happened.
Rumormongers had it that Lillian Muli had separated with her husband. More negative publicity followed as Lillian was accused of flirting with a number of men including Jamaican dancehall artist Konshens and Shabana FC Chairman, Jared Nivaton.
3. Linda Oguttu and Dennis Mombo
The voluptuous KTN anchor was accused of marrying a con after her sweetheart Dennis was arrested in connection to a car theft syndicate.
According to a 2013 NTV investigative story, 18 cars were recovered in a compound in Mountain View Estate said to be Dennis’.
The silver Chrysler Crossfire KBR 11** which Linda currently drives was among the vehicles that were said to have been stolen.
4. Betty Kyallo and Dennis Okari
This is the latest celebrity marriage to be plagued by juicy rumors. Even though neither Betty or Dennis have confirmed their marriage has officially ended, the writing on the wall shows all it not well between the TV sweethearts.
5. Esther Arunga and Quincy Timberlake
Their union was not blessed on earth and in heaven. Esther’s parents and Kenyans at large opposed the idea of Esther marrying Quincy.
But Esther having fallen heads over heels in love with her hubby even went to court to accuse her family of meddling in her marriage.
The lovebirds fled to Australia in hope of living peacefully far away from chaos in Kenya. And what happened in Aussie???
Quincy killed their son and the argument was that he was trying to exorcise demons that had possessed him.
Esther has now been deprived of a shoulder to lean on and a ‘D’ to ride as her hubby has been locked in a mental facility.
6. Shaffie Weru and Debbie Asila
Shaffie and Debbie were the ideal couple back in the days but I don’t know what happened that led to their breakup despite having a baby girl together. Hearsay had it that Shaffie was eying another girl.
After going their separate ways, the Team Mafisi Secretary General hooked up with a yellow skin mummy, Joan Mwihaki, and he has never looked back.
7. Gloria Muliro and Pastor Eric Omba
Gloria walked out of her five year marriage early 2015 after accusing her husband of sleeping around with girls in his Spotlight Media studio at Madaraka.
Apparently pastor Omba was a seasoned philanderer who tricked girls into allowing him to explore their cookie jars in the promise that he would make them famous like his wife.
8. Julie Gichuru and Anthony Gichuru
Julie’s marriage is perhaps the most scrutinized celebrity union. The likes of Boniface Mwangi have constantly attacked her over her father-in-law’s sins.

9. Beat Ya Keggah and Karay Kay
Kenya’s arguably richest music producer exchanged vows with his wife on a yacht sailing in Atlantic Ocean sometimes in January 2016.
Report indicates that Keggah and Karay separated two weeks after their Kes 8 million colorful wedding. Apparently they were exchanging salvos on social media.
10. Anne Kiguta
She was cohabiting with her baby daddy who was a very violent man. He even beat her up on the eve of her life changing interview at KTN
