7 Celebrities Who Have Been Locked In Mental Facilities After Going Insane. Number 4 Claimed He Killed Raila Odinga’s Son Fidel (Photos)

A Number of Kenyan celebrities have been treated for mental illness and some even been locked in mental facilities. We shed light on seven of them!
There is a thin line between depression and madness, only psychiatrists can tell the difference. Some folks exhibit creepy behaviors because they are depressed other do so because they have totally lost the capacity to think straight.
There are Kenyan celebrities who have been treated after they were mentally deranged though none has ever spoken about it after recovering.
Below is a list of seven celebrities who have both been rumored and confirmed they had a date with psychiatrists or locked in mental facilities:
1. Emmanuel Makori Nyambane alia AKA

The former Churchill Show comedian was caught on camera behaving like a mad man as he wrapped himself with a dirty sack. This was in 2014 after AKA disappeared from the screen with rumors circulating that he had totally lost it upstairs.

AKA was said to have been taken to a mental hospital and later on he resurfaced on Churchill Show before he disappeared again with his whereabouts being hard to come by.

2. Conjestina Achieng

Everybody knows her story. The former boxing great has been in and out of Mathare Mental Hospital one two many times.
Conje frequently suffers mental relapse, one time she’s fine the other she’s throwing around incomprehensible words and doing weird stuff.

3. Quincy Timberlake

He became nuts after moving to Australia with former TV girl Esther Arunga as his wife. Quincy killed his own 3-year-old son Sinclair Timberlake as he was exorcising demons that had possessed him.
Australian authorities found Quincy unable to stand trial because he had completely gone insane. He was sent to Brisbane Prince Charles Mental Health Hospital where he’s still receiving treatment.

4. Paul Kobia

The controversial businessman was arrested outside Village Market days after Fidel Odinga’s death shouting and bragging how he killed the eldest son of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Police arrested him before his family took him to a mental hospital with the explanation being that Kobia had developed mental problems.
Paul Kobia was also involved in a number on incidents that raised eyebrows. He claimed his crew Uhuru Big Boys Unit (UBBU) had mobilized 20,000 ground forces in Nairobi to hunt Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale whom he banned from setting foot in Nairobi or anywhere that had the ‘Kenyatta’ name for disrespecting President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Kobia also shot dead a thief along Parklands' Limuru Road in 2014 after he attempted to snatch him his Samsung Galaxy Note 3 valued at Sh74,000 as he drove in a traffic jam.

5. VBO Strong

He’s best remembered for ‘Naskia Utamu’ with Bobby Mapesa. VBO and Bobby both indulged in drugs which adversely affected them. Bobby checked in at a rehab while VBO was said to have gone mad as he was frequently spotted loitering in the streets like street urchins before his condition improved.

6. Sharama

“Say yo… nanana… Say yo nananana…” Remember Cannibal & Sharama with ‘Bouncing’ hit song? Sharama is a Mombasa based rapper who was also rumored to have suffered mental illness after using drugs.
His whereabouts are also hard to grasp as he disappeared from limelight ever since the drug and nutso claims sprang.

7. Sokoro

The Mombasa rapper was a drug addict who made heroine his ‘food’. Sokoro was rumored to be have gone insane, he stayed at Magongo primary school playing ground which he had turned his home
